We find ourselves living a "new normal" which causes us to seem to be at loose ends at times.
No matter which season we are experiencing - ENJOY - the process of creating, whether it is through working with fibers (knitting, weaving, felting, rug hooking) painting, photography etc.
As a fiber artist, I look at each upcoming season and begin to plan what project will I begin creating. Knowing that cool breezes will begin to blow - knitted or woven scarf will feel good to wear in those transitional days of cooler mornings to afternoon and evenings. Have you made a pair of knitted (then felt) mittens for walking the dog? A watchman's hat for colder weather or cotton counter towels in fun colors or woven tea towels that you can use as a way to sample different weaving patterns.
Create a painting with threads, fabric or yarn through embroidery or tapestry weaving.
With our "new normal" try something new. 10 mins. a day is a great way to start your creative thoughts...you're a writer? Fall is a great time to put thoughts and ideas to paper...
